In Addition to Condemning Kennedy’s Dangerous Views, Chatzy Reiterated his Support for Universal Healthcare

NEW YORK - Today Peter Chatzky, Democratic Congressional Candidate for NY-17, called for the resignation of United States Health and Human Services Secretary Robert F. Kennedy Jr., and continued his push for Congress to pass universal healthcare coverage for all Americans. Chatzky’s demand comes just days after Secretary Kennedy was grilled by a bipartisan group of United States Senators about his role in spreading misinformation about vaccines and increased rates of diseases, like Malaria, in the United States under his watch.

Chatzky was joined by concerned Westchester residents in Katonah, NY, where Secretary Kennedy claimed he resided during his failed 2020 presidential run, despite never actually living there.

Peter Chatzky said: “RFK Jr. is as legitimate of a health secretary as he was a resident of Katonah. He is now using his official position to turn his fringe, anti-vaccine views into dangerous policies that put us all at risk. Simply put, America is less safe with RFK leading the Department of Health and Human Services. For the good of the country, he must resign immediately. However, we must acknowledge that his resignation will not solve all of our problems. We have a broken healthcare system in this county where millions of Americans, including 60,000 residents of Westchester, Rockland, Putnam, and Dutchess Counties are currently uninsured. That’s unacceptable and if elected to Congress I promise to fight every day for universal healthcare coverage, because no American should fear losing their home, their savings, or their dreams because they get sick.”
