Enough Backroom Deals: Democrats Must Stand and Fight for the People

NEW YORK - In response to Senators reaching a deal to end the government shutdown, Peter Chatzky, candidate for Congress in NY-17, stated: “The same party apparatus trying to dictate the nominee in NY-17 is now deciding behind closed doors when it’s time for Senate Dems to fold and let millions of people’s healthcare premiums skyrocket. Our system is broken.  Forget ‘We the Party’ and get back to ‘We the People’.”
